I have a very serious question-
Does anyone else find themselves hungry when they scroll through their Pinterest feed or flip through their favorite blogs (on feedly of course, what is this, 2005 where we are forced to read ONE blog at a time!?)? Seriously though… I could have just devoured an entire holiday feast and would still find myself craving some cleverly concocted, far too beautifully photographed to eat, dish that some food blogger schemed up in their sleep.
I mean… flourless maple cinnamon almond butter cookies…Chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies with POMEGRANATE SALT! …whipped riccotta pancakes with bitter sweet chocolate and lemon glaze or how about orange cardamom cinnamon buns!?(hi heaven!) the list could continue but my mouth is already watering too much.
Personally, I have three food boards (breakfast, mains, desserts, oh and cocktails) on pinterest and I think I was added to a couple of friends food boards to help them with recipe inspiration (this is how deep my love of food goes). I follow mostly food blogs, and have a sick addiction totastespotting and foodgawker (if you aren’t addicted, you will be); seriously I get sucked in for 30 minutes every time I start scrolling through the amazing recipes on display.
Don’t get me wrong, I love it! I find all of the creative things people come up with to be inspiring and aspirational (one day I really will make this amazing french beef stew, or this insane fig, bacon pizza, I swear). There are just so many wonderful options to choose from and so little time to prepare them all.
Am I alone on this? Am I really the only one who has to restrain themselves from drooling on the key board with desire?! Let me ask you this, what food blogs are you addicted to? What is your staple dish? Do share with the class, we are always looking for inspiration.
xx
