PJ- short for the word PaJama, more appropriately called jammies, aka 'jams' but never to be called 'jammie-kins' (woof).
I have a small love affair with lounge wear, sleep wear, zero f***s given wear... BUT this is not just any lounge wear, no; I am in love with casual attire which feels like the most luxurious pajama-ramas (ok... that one is in the testing phases) but looks nothing like pjs to the masses. You know the ones, those silky harem pants paired with an over sized t-shirt. Slip them on and you are like- "pjs or party wear?!" Am I right? I mean if you put on a pair of pumps you are ready for a night on the town which will seamlessly transition to a night between the sheets (not in the kinky way! just in the innocent sleeping sort of way).
Leggings layered with draping tops, sweaters, and scarves- to die for. Then again if I see you wearing Uggs with the aforementioned outfit in public I will have to slap you squarely across the face, just as a common courtesy to any other passers by.
Rompers are essentially a publicly acceptable 'onesie' and cashmere is like wearing a blanket no matter what part of your body it may be covering.
I draw the line when it comes to wearing literal pjs in public... come now, show some class! We aren't in college any more... well ok maybe you are, BUT STILL, having 'PINK' emblazoned on your ass is never really ok (you can totally disagree with me on this, to each their own! Fashion is an equal opportunity employer after all).
So if you see me, sporting a pair of chic harem pants or trendy 'joggers' (aka sweat pants) and an over sized top, no I didn't sleep in it (are you kidding, I'm far to accessorized for that!) don't judge! I'm comfortable as heeeeelllll and feeling fresh to death.
xx
*Dear Zara, all I can think when I look at this photo is, "talk dirty to me"... this is everything I want to wear, please and thank you. (that is to say, this image, with the dreamy joggers, is by Zara)
