I have a bad habit of taking too much on. Not in the way normal people take things on... you know by committing too many of their own things... I take on other peoples stuff, in addition to my stuff, and then I just stair at it because I have no way to deal with all of the... stuff... piled in front of me.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and gripe about it, I do it to myself really. I am here, however, to shed light on the issue, this is a real problem you guys, 'bearing other peoples burdens' may be biblical but the bible wasn't written in the age of technology, social media, and day planners.
Let us look at the issue- adding things to ones own plate, when the plate is already over flowing in a post juice cleanse/Thanksgiving day kind of way; it is neither healthy nor will it end well.
In our head we think "yeah! I can totally do that" wether consciously or unconsciously... however, if we are wise, we take a step back and think before we speak (key in this case) we may save ourselves and those around us a lot of pain and trouble down the road. Realizing the limitations of our day, emotions, physical capability etc. really is the best thing for us.
For some this concept is easier than for others, which is why I am currently staring at the preverbal apocalypse sized mound of 'mashed potatoes' (to-dos) with no where to turn... I suppose I will just have to grab a spoon and start digging myself out.
