FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Ok, no, but seriously... this is about food and I need your thoughts.

I will cut to the chase (also be warned this post may be full of food related puns and culinary humor... you're welcome?). I have been informed, on multiple occasions, that I should start a food blog... which I'm all about, but also kind of like "really?" I feel like I'm not savvy enough with a knife, who would eat what I make? How do you even measure things!? But, you know when life gives you lemons... You f***ing make lemon chicken!

Ok... so... if this were to be a thing. If I were to stop crying over the spilled milk and get over myself, what would this culinary catastrophe be called? My personal vote was Dear Food, I miss you... but Drew says that is too long and Dear Food is already taken (bastards!).

That being said, I would like to know your thoughts... should this be a thing? Should I live half my life slaving behind a stove top so that you may consume consciously concocted food derived for the digestively impaired? And if so, what will we call it? (I say 'we' because this is totally a group effort).

Do let me know... preferable before the cows come home.

*bomb ass kale and brussels sprout salad:

Trader Joes "cruciferous crunch collection" salad mix (also just Kale and Brussels together would work)
1/2 cup chickpeas
4 cloves garlic minced
juice from 1/2 a lemon
1/2 tsp cumin (divided)
2 tsp olive oil (divided)
juice from half a lemon

Toast chickpeas slightly in 1 tsp olive oil, adding garlic and 1/4 tsp cumin at the very end to release flavor.
In a large bowl pour half bag of salad mix or your kale and brussels, drizzle olive oil over the top, add lemon juice, cumin and salt and pepper to taste.
Add in the chickpeas and garlic, stir well to evenly distribute the 'dressing'

I have eaten this salad three times this week and would happily eat it three times more!
