ELEPHANT

Do elephants really never forget? Their brains are the size of a peanut according to the cartoons of my youth (though I know that isn't true it still makes me giggle).

You guys, I feel like I'm 90. I mean there is the whole hip thing (I had hip surgery... twice... as a small child and now I get arthritic when the weather changes...90!) there is the homebody thing (I love going out, but I also love nachos and a movie...soooo) there is the whole early onset dementia thing (no, not literally) but I feel like I am forgetting everything all of the time lately. My memory for obscure facts (that do not matter) is as sharp as ever (for instance, did you know giraffes and rats can last longer without water than a camel!?) but my memory for important things seems to be dwindling.

Perhaps I am just missing a certain vitamin... perhaps my brain is so full of the unimportant things the vital information simply can not fit... or perhaps I simply need to spend more time doing brain building exercises. I swear my brain can't be this mushy already! That simply isn't acceptable.

Thats it, it has been decided, I will take up learning a foreign language to sharpen my mental skills. Prepare yourselves, I'm going to be sharp as a tac! (like my friend Francesca, I kid you not she remembers EVERYTHING... maybe her spirit animal is an elephant!)
