The quiet outside is nice for a change of pace. The usual hustle and grind of construction and busy streets seems to have faded off into the distance. Cloud covered skies bid me to go back to bed, and I sit, wrapped in a blanket seriously considering their offer.
Dear reader, why is it some days are so difficult to feel good? The days where you feel like everything (even the weather) is fight against you (though I must admit the quiet is a welcome surprise and the grey is rather cozy).
How do you change the feeling of ass dragging, to intentional action? How do you change your mindset from avoidance (even if it is productive) to deliberate doing?
Today, I have decided to choose one thing to look forward to, one action I can take to feel accomplished in hopes that it will spark a reaction to carry me through the rest of the day.
I am going to work on recipes for all of you. I often feel guilty about spending copious amounts of time in the kitchen, shirking other responsibilities, but the fact of the matter is, that it brings joy to my life. I love inventing and experimenting different dishes, there is something simply wonderful about it (even now, I feel the weight slightly lifting as this thought wedges itself between me and my distraction).
What are you looking forward to? How can I help? Perhaps this post by Dr.Wayne W. Dyer (say that name three times fast!) will help… it is a kick in the teeth to say the least.
