DO OR DO NOT DO

Do you know what I have come to realize… we need to stop trying so damn much. It is exhausting! We try our hardest to be on top of it all. Our jobs, our style, our personal and professional worlds all under wraps, tied with a bow. At some point it will build into a monster we can not control, and before you know it,  you have lost the ability to genuinely ‘do’, because the fear of trying has crippled your spirit.

In all reality trying isn’t a bad thing, if fact at its core, it is a great thing (I am working/trying to do a lot of things)! But we have put it on a pedestal, often elevating it past attainability.

Fashion and technology evolve in the blink of an eye, how can you possibly try to keep up? Becoming masters at our careers is a worthy pursuit, but when you start trying to reach that next level, trying to ‘make it’, have you then lost the vision why you do what you do in the first place?

If we ‘try’ at everything, are we ever actually attaining anything? Maybe, we all need a Mr. Miyagi in our lives to tell us, “Do or do not do. There is no try”.

xx
