SHOTS

I recently read a quote which said "It is better to be someones shot of whiskey than everyones cup of tea"... I LOVE THAT SO MUCH (though personally I would opt for a shot of tequila, just saying). I think that quote is just the best thing! Why is it the best thing you may ask... well, because it is essentially saying this-

Be strong. Stand out. Don't back down. Be unique. Be complex. Be beautiful. Make those around you better, bolder, more brave. Be liberating. Pack a punch. Leave an impression. Be these things rather than being someone who settles. Who is watered down and weak. Age with grace. Become better with time...

It is inspiring you to be impactful and leave a mark, rather then simply be palatable.

I am a shot of Fortaleza and Drew is a shot of Highland Park, beautifully packaged and high on the shelf. Yes, incase you were wondering, that statement makes me uncomfortable, it places a very high value on our self worth... but why shouldn't it? You are right up there with us (and if you aren't get your ass in gear and have your PR people promote the shit out of just how incredible you truly are!). We need to remember the value of who we are and what we do... you matter (I matter) and we are worthy (You can thank Brene Brown for all this introspection, go read Daring Greatly and thank me later).

We get one life to live and while I wish I could end this post without quoting EMENEM (who am I kidding, I have been waiting my whole life to quote EMENEM), "You only get one shot... this opportunity comes once in a lifetime"

So... will I be pulling out some mugs or lining up the shots?

xx
